Great racing action returns to I-35 Speedway in Winston, MO this Saturday with Lake Road Warehouse and Childhood Cancer Awareness Night! Battle of the Shacks as Kayce in the Pit Shack and Tammy in the Beer Shack do battle raising money for their favorite Charities. Tammy’s charity is St Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Kayce’s is Children’s Mercy Hospital as they will donate all their tips to these great organizations to help children and their families. There will be a balloon release for opening ceremonies as we at I-35 Speedway show our support for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month! Balloons will be available at the Grandstand Gate while supplies last as we would like to let the kids have one first to release. If you can donate please do so generously, if you can’t we understand, please don’t give what you don’t have. We ask that you wear a cancer awareness or survivor shirt to the track this Saturday Night as we all know someone that has been affected.
Intermission will see Remote Control Car Racing on the front straight as we will draw names for kids 8 to 15 years of age to compete. Also we will have a drawing for some lucky kid to win a Remote Control Race Car ready to go donated by Chris and Carl Flower. 10 Cars will be available for kids to race so sign up at the grandstand gate as you enter and we will draw before opening ceremonies to see who will race. So, remember to sign up if you are between the ages of 8 to 15.
