Woods, Stanton, Taylor Jr., Anderson and Glenn fly to I-35 Speedway wins!
With only two nights remaining in the 2010 season the cars turned out in full force. Points positions toghtened up in some classes and some drivers extended thier leads in anticipation for the season ending points championship night next week.
IMCA SportMod points leader Shay Woods racked up win number eight on the season slipping by Anthony Asher to take the win. JJ Baumli hooked up on the outside to take the second spot with Mike Tanner rebounding from an early caution finishing third. Paige Leppin gained fourteen spoits to win the hard charger.
Eric Stanton won for the tenth time this season in the IMCA Hobby Stocks, the most of any driver. Stanton split the middle between Greg Kuehn and Mike Youngs to take the win. Brad Whitney came from the back to challenge Stanton for the win but in the end Stanton was just to strong. Whitney finished second with Bruce Fair third. Stanton gained eight spots to nab the hard charger award.
In Border War Grand National acton the race went green to checker with Mike Taylor Jr. winning for the second time this seaosn. Taylor would hold off Travis Walker and Gene Claxton who finished second and third. Tim Shields gained four spots to win the hard charger.
In the Border War Stock Cars Kevin Anderson drove his number 417 machine to his second win of 2010. Anderson also split the middle between two cars to take the lead. Thomas Roberts the points leader started dead last and came back to finish second holding off his car owner Jon Boller Jr. who finished third. Jake Cameron gained eight spots to win the hard charger.
IMCA Modified points leader Steven Glenn captured win number six on the season. Glenn driving as low on the track as he could go held off a hard charging Dean Wray as Wray came from his twenty-second place starting spot to finish second. Johnny McGinnis held on for a third place showing. Wray gained twenty spots to win the hard charger.
